Rev. Fr. Anthony Chukwuemeka Enemuo (Fada OmenukoJesus)

Enemuo Anthony Chukwuemeka MSSCC, is a priest of the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, a native of Ofeogelle Achalla-Umuchu in Aguata local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria, but born and bred in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria on 5th October, many years ago.

He is the third child and the first son amongst six children, and is fondly called OmenukoJesus because of his hit musical track in his first album where he described Jesus as Omenuko(one who does even in times of lack), registering also his personal life experiences and journey.

Fada OmenukoJesus is a Gospel and Inspirational Artiste/Musician/Minister; a Preacher; a Writer; a Psychologist and Counsellor; an Educationist Et Al.

He was born into an average family by late Mr. Sylvanus O. Enemuo and Mrs Hope N. Enemuo, where every member of the family was taught how to contribute at least spiritually and Ideologically to the family, to survive and to be independent. His father was a trader who would spare him no time during weekends and Holidays, and would need him to help out in the market. He would always take him along with him to the shop with the intention that first sons are supposed to be agile and willing to assist and take after their fathers.

Then at Ifeanyichukwu international nursery and primary school, as well as High Tower Academy for his nursery and primary classes, OmenukoJesus began his kindergarten and elementary studies.

Seminary Life

As time went on and as he advanced in age, he got enrolled into St Marys comprehensive secondary school. Something striking about this period, henceforth, was the development of an inner care and worry about the future. This inner care and worry was accompanied by fear as he heard it repeatedly said by his father that after secondary school he would join in trade to take after him. Within, he was not ready for that; he wanted to further his education, hence he wanted the line of academics and not of trade. Every effort he made in class, not going beyond the 6th position in a class of about seventy students, to prove to his father that he was better off with academics fell on blind eyes and on deaf ears. As God’s grace would have it, OmenukoJesus went for the Seminary interview and among the few chosen from a large number of those who came for the interview, his name was among those selected.

On 4th January, 2013, OmenukoJesus lost his father. His father’s death marked a total change in decrease on the family financial status; they went below average to the point that he struggled in the remaining years of his seminary formation financially until, God – willing,13th July 2019, he was ordained to the Catholic priesthood, thanks to the congregation of the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary that took care of his major needs and admitted him to the Sacred Priesthood.

While in the seminary OmenukoJesus was privileged to serve the seminarians in different capacities, but the most profound of them are as procurator (for 3 years), Seminary Chapel MC and as the Seminary first Auxiliary. He also received several academic awards and honours from the Seat of Wisdom major seminary Owerri and graduated with Summa Cum Lauda(First Class Honours) from Imo State University, Owerri and Pontifical Urban University, Rome to which Seat of Wisdom Seminary is affiliated to. Aside his two degrees in Philosophy and in Theology from the two above mentioned Universities, Fada OmenukoJesus also holds a diploma in Education and is a registered member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria(TRCN).

After his ordination, he was posted to the St Gaetano Errico seminary and formation house Ulakwo, Owerri to work as Vice Rector and as school Director of the Sacred Hearts Catholic nursery and primary school(July 2019). After this, he was posted as the parish priest of Holy Cross Catholic parish, Ndegwu, Owerri West, Imo state (February 2021) and as the school Director of the Holy Cross Best learning Nursery and primary school, Ndegwu, Owerri West, Imo state(February 2021)

As part of his harnessed talents while in the seminary, OmenukoJesus has great love for music, and so have made and Sang several compositions of Gospel music which has spread, to a considerable extent, across the country; as well as composed several hymns and anthems for many schools and organisations. These songs were made with the aim of restoring hope and consolation to those deprived of it in the economic and security instability of the country. Most importantly, with his little experience in the priestly ministry, he began a little and small schemed weekly program which he called “Faith Boosters and Crises control therapy”, and that has led him into reading and writing regularly. Hence practical and solution – seeking academic work and Music formed Fada OmenukoJesus’ interest areas.
It is Fada OmenukoJesus’ wishful hope to create an avenue as a priest where spiritual and wholistic healing meet with the psychological, emotional and physical challenges of people whom he can reach out to.
