Theme: Righteousness, Sin, Judgment, and Condemnation!
Paul and Silas, in the first reading, continue to exemplify the life in the spirit of God in their missionary journey and their conviction and disposition towards God. They are willing to suffer for the sake of Christ and, through their resilience, could draw souls to conversion. In the Gospel, Jesus continues to give his valedictory(farewell speech) and prepares to leave the earth and return to his Father, he makes it concretely clear that the world is not our endpoint, and so, he leaves that we may come to be with him later. The Holy Spirit will come to teach and make specific demarcation in the world regarding sin, righteousness, and condemnation through the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Guard your life today in righteousness and never forget that sin and righteousness have their different rewards.
May the light of God continue to enlighten us to the truth and purify our hearts and actions.
