Theme: The Hearers and Doers: The Encouraged!
Every teaching and code to a particular thing is very important to achieving that particular thing. This is also true about spiritual teachings that help the growth of the spiritual life and our souls. An important aspect without which the teaching would have no effect is the practical acceptance of the teaching, hearing, and doing. In the first reading, St Paul tells us of the consolation and encouragement in doing the word. The consolation in afflictions which we have to receive first and with which we can console others. In the gospel, Jesus lists the dispositions and life of the Blessed, the life of bliss. He climbs the mountain, a high place, to teach these important tips that will help and encourage us on the path to eternal life. Each of the dispositions and life of the Blessed has an attached reward, here on earth and after in heaven.
Child of God, an essential part we must not forget is to do and abide by these dispositions, for therein lies our consolation and encouragement.
