Morning Spiritual Recipe: OmenukoJesus in “Living the Word”

Theme: …You Alone Have the Words of Eternal Life!
These words of Peter in the theme from the Gospel today add up with: “…we have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy one of God.” These words should resound and motivate our faith conviction today. We must realise today that there is no other avenue or shortcut to attain this eternal life if not in the word of God and his invitation of us to partake in his mysteries. This conviction led Peter also, in the first reading today, to the miracle of raising the dead.
Child of God, many left Jesus when his words became hard, even those he fed and those he had performed one miracle or the other for, instead of waiting for understanding and remaining in the truth. This is so with us often; when hardness and difficulties arise, we tend to abandon Jesus and become only fair weather friends with Him. Let us ask God to deepen our faith to understand that in Him and His words alone can man find eternal life.
