Theme: You are Witnesses!
Witnessing for or against someone is a very big and important role in the olden times, especially the Old Testament. The witness of two or more persons are taken with weight and regarded as a high profiled judgment(The witness against Sussana and against Jesus). Jesus uses this same clause in the Gospel today for the Gospel events and evangelization. Being witnesses here goes beyond verbal affirmation or support(like those who witness against), instead, it involves the whole of the person translated into action. Peter, in the first reading, bore active witness for Christ and converted many for the same mission.
Child of God, make sincere efforts to represent and bear witness to Christ wherever you find yourself and God will stand in for you in every aspect of your life. Do not be ashamed or afraid to do this.
